We are changing our hours. In order to accomodate Jimmy's we will begin the monthly meeting at 11:30 in order to complete it before lunch service begins at 12:00. Please have your lunch ticket and be signed in by 11:25.
The BEC meeting will begin at 10:30 and all are invited to see how the Board operates. Feel free to bring any comments or suggestions on how to make Windsor Sirs 176 better.

Holiday Party
It's time to get your reservation in for the Holiday Party and choose your entree. Get the form here, print it and get it returned to be sure of getting a seat and the choice of entree for you and your guest. This year the cost is $70 per person with a choice of Tri-tip Beef, Salmon or Pasta Primavera entree. Mr. Music will be there to provide entertainment and there will be a nice selection of wines and dessert on tap.
AED Now Available
SIR Frank Treanor has acquired an AED device for our group. He will bring it to the regular meeting each month. If you would like to use it for another event contact Frank to make arrangements. A training session was held after the September meeting to familiarize some of our members with the use of the AED and also CPR basics. If there is enough demand from members for further training contact Frank Treanor or Larry Thompson to indicate your interest.
New Officers
Officers for 2027 were voted on. Our new leadership will be Big Sir Bruce Okrepkie, Little Sir Mark Nelson, Secretary Larry Doherty, Treasurer Gary Trojanowski, Assistant Secretary TomPalmer, Assistant Treasurer Howard Blethen. Directors for 1 year Phil Bartels, Harold Minkin, Bob Wallace, and 2 year Tim Senkir, Jerry Culver, and Jim Tubb. A new Director position was added of Attendance Director and that will be filled by Ron Nordstrom
A new committee titled Safety Committee was approved and will be handled by Steve De la Montanya.
Pool Is Back
We have made arrangements with Windsor Bowl for the use of their pool room. It will be available to us on Tuesdays beginning at 3:00. The bar doesn't open until 4:00 but they will make arrangements for adult beverages until then. Please keep drink orders simple—primarily beer—until the bartender arrives, as Tim will also need to attend to the bowling area.
Say Goodbyr to Bob Browne
Bob has been an active member since 2020. One could always find him
at
coffee, playing Bocce Ball or at Happy Hour. Generally a quiet man, he
loved talking about his family,
his life in Wenatchee and his hobby of carving knives.
Eventually, health challenges affected his balance and he struggled over the last couple of years, but still remained active...even playing Bocce Ball as late as October of this year. However, now he can no longer enjoy playing nor can he sit for more than about 20 minutes; so he regretfully has retired from SIRS. Thank all of you who, at the luncheon, signed his farewell card. Bob is one of those guys who made the most of his time with SIRs. His company will be missed.

Charlie Boyd has stepped up to take over as the activities leader for Bocce. Many thanks to Stewart Morgan for his many years of service in that position.
Holiday Tree on the Green
Once again Windsor Sirs will have a Charley Brown Christmas tree on the town green.. Mark Nelson has again agreed to coordinate the activity. We have secured a spot for our tree with the Town. We will be decorating our tree on November 30 at 3:00. Come join in the fun as we decorate our tree.

176 heading. We have increased the size of the photos and we have tried
to get as many profiles as possible. If you are one of those without a
profile or with an older one that needs to be updated you can begin by
going to the Branch 176 tab, clicking on forms and downloading the
Profile Guide. This will guide
you with suggestions of the things about you that our members might be
interested to know. Our Profile editor Gary Good will be happy
to help you craft your life story.
We are looking for someone to step up and volunteer to lead this activity. If that is you please let Tom Palmer know.
Healdsburg Branch
It appears that that the Healdsburg chapter will be shutting down at the end of October. We have invited them to join our branch for next year.
Branch 176 Business Cards
We
have received our Branch 176 business cards. These can be distributed to
potential new members to help them get in touch with us. You can add
your name and number at the bottom if you wish to continue with the
contact. You can get some from Garry Trojanowski.
Meeting Attendance
To benefit fully from your membership in Windsor Sir we strongly
recommend that you make an effort to attend the monthly meeting. We
encourage you to make the effort to come, enjoy lunch and be informed by
our speaker.

New Member Application Changes
We have a revised membership application now available. As part of the recruitment process we now ask potential members to attend two SIR events before being considered for membership. This is designed to make for a more informed choice to join. If you bring a new potential member please fill out the Visitor Registration Form and give it to Larry.
