Meeting Attendance
To benefit fully from your membership in Windsor Sir we strongly
recommend that you make an effort to attend the monthly meeting. We
encourage you to make the effort to come, enjoy lunch and be informed by
our speaker.
We are aware that some members have expressed issues with dietary
restrictions. Charlie's has expressed willingness to
try to accommodate members with restrictions. If you need a modified
lunch please let Tom Palmer know by the Monday before the meeting if you
need accommodation so we can notify Charlie's.
The annual picnic is scheduled for June 18. Details are available on the picnic page. Get your reservation with a $45 per person payment to Garry by June 4.
The Redwood Empire Food Bank is looking for volunteers. We are putting together a group of SIR members to volunteer. We will be volunteering on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 2-4 beginning May 27th. If you want to join in contact Tom Palmer.
Be Friendly
It has been pointed out that we have lost several potential members because they didn't feel welcomed and accepted. If you see a new member take a moment to introduce yourself and get to meet them.
New Activities
The recently formed New Activities Committee is made up of members Wayne Lindahl, Chris Roach, Dave Harrison and Phil Bartels. This group will have the responsibility of checking with our members for the level of interest in the new activity, identify the local resources available for that activity and if there is a member willing to step up and chair the activity.
Here are some of the activities that have been suggested. If you are interested in any of these contact the listed person, Phil or Wayne.

Singing Group
We will be checking with our members for the interest in these or any other proposed activities. If you have an activity you would like us to include, please contact one of us.
The gardening group has already provided tomato starts and will be bringing peppers, squash and other vegetables for you to plant in your garden in the next few weeks. They are waiting on soil to arrive from the Town of Windsor to get the beds at the Senior Recreation Center ready for planting. Volunteers are still needed to complete the process. Contact Steve or Charley.
New Members
We added two new members in April. When you see them please make them feel welcome.
